Who we are

This policy applies to PawsGuides (https://pawsguides.com). For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the "data controller" for personal data processed through this website. You can reach us about any privacy matter at contact@intentix.net.

What we collect

We do not run accounts, logins, comment sections, or newsletter sign-ups, so we do not ask you to give us personal data directly. The data processed is limited to:

  • Technical log data. Like almost every website, our hosting and content-delivery provider automatically processes your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you request. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.
  • Analytics data. We measure aggregate traffic — pages viewed, approximate location, referring site, and device type — to understand what content is useful and improve the site. We use Google Analytics 4 for this.
  • Advertising data. We display ads from third-party advertising networks. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites, and to measure and (where permitted) personalise the ads you see. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at Google Ad Settings, and out of many other networks via the choices linked below.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them only where the services above require them.

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to load and stay secure. Always active.
  • Analytics — help us measure how the site is used.
  • Advertising — used by our ad partners to measure and personalise ads.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block them entirely. Doing so will not stop you reading our content.

Legal basis for processing

Under the GDPR we rely on: legitimate interests for the technical log data needed to operate and secure the site; and, where required, your consent for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your choices" below).

We do not sell your personal data. The third-party services that may process data on our behalf, each under their own privacy policy, include:

International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep data

Technical log data is retained only as long as needed for security and operations. Analytics data is held in aggregate, and advertising identifiers are retained by our partners according to their own policies.

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased ("right to be forgotten");
  • restrict or object to our processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time; and
  • lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.

Your choices

You can clear or block cookies in your browser, use the opt-out links above, and enable "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals, which we honour where technically supported.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
